Our Leadership
Leadership Built on Healthcare Expertise
Meet Our
Leadership Team
Over 80 years of combined experience dedicated exclusively to healthcare linen services.
Westport's leadership remains actively engaged in daily operations, ensuring every partner receives the personal attention and responsive service that sets us apart from corporate competitors.
John co-founded Westport Linen Services in 2000 after recognizing that Louisiana healthcare facilities needed a partner truly committed to service excellence.
His industrial laundry career began in 1982 with Red Stick Linen, where he started in uniform and restaurant sales before entering the management trainee program. He later moved to Kean's Healthcare Linen in Baton Rouge and became Plant Manager by 1989.
When Red Stick Linen was acquired by Cintas in 1994, operations continued as Kean's Healthcare Linen, becoming a dominant force in the Louisiana and Mississippi markets. After its 1999 acquisition by National Linen Service, John moved to New Orleans but found Kean's strong customer service and reliability were missing.
When Baton Rouge customers began seeking alternative vendors, John resigned to build a small laundry operation that would serve hospitals who had been long-time Kean's customers. Starting with just two customers in 2000, Westport steadily grew into the largest privately-owned healthcare laundry in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Experience Matters
in Healthcare Laundry
Healthcare linen service demands specialized knowledge. OSHA regulations, infection control protocols, clinical environment requirements, and patient safety standards require expertise that only comes from dedicated focus.
Our leadership team's combined experience spans decades exclusively in healthcare laundry. We understand the stakes involved when hospitals, surgical centers, and medical practices depend on clean textiles for patient care and operational efficiency.
This specialized experience informs every decision we make, from equipment investments to quality control processes to emergency response protocols.
From Two Customers
to Regional Leader
Since starting with just two customers in 2000, Westport has become the largest privately owned healthcare laundry in Louisiana and Mississippi, driven by its commitment to service, reliability, and accountability.
Now processing over one million pounds of linen weekly across three facilities, the company serves healthcare partners throughout Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama with the same dedication that fueled its growth.
